4th of July & 14 weeks!

Finally I am all moved into the new house in Buckhannon, so we decided to reward ourselves with a little vaca, we roadtripped to Alexandria, VA to visit with Jennifer (BF from HS) & her husband Jerry for the 4th of July weekend. It was hot but at least not as hot as it had been & is there now.

We couldn't have asked for better weather, that's for sure. Beautiful blue skies & sunshine all 3 days. Everyone was nervous for me walking around all day in the heat & getting dehydrated but Baby & I did just fine! :) This was Brett's first time to DC since 8th grade so I was really excited for him to see everything again. We did sooooooo much walking but it was totally worth it. I know Baby didn't know where he/she was, but it was fun to think it was his/hers first trip to the Nation's Capital. There's really no better place you could be on the 4th of July then watching fireworks in the middle of Washington D.C. It was amazing! Well, with the exception of the metro ride back afterward. I could have done without several hundred hot, sweaty, rude people shoving into one metro car. Baby Ripley was ready to throw some punches because the two of us were getting tossed all over the place!!!! All in all, the 5 of us (Baby Ripley included) had a wonderful trip!! :)

As of Sunday, July 4th, I am officially 14 weeks pregnant. It's hard to believe!!! NO MORE NAUSEA.. at all!! Boy can I eat though. I'm hungry.... ALWAYS!!!!! I eat 'til I'm full & I could eat some more. I try not to though, I don't need to gain 50 pounds by January. I am getting OVERLY excited because next month at out 18-20 week appointment, we can another ultrasound & HOPEFULLY we'll know if it's a boy or a girl! I can't wait!!!! =D

Next week in Jamboree in the Hills and two other concerts. Hope baby likes country music like mommy & daddy! Because he/she is going to get an earfull over the next week or so with all the concerts we're attending. Who knows, maybe we've got a future country singer in the making!
